Deep brown color in the glass. Some roasted malt flavors. Pretty strong hop presence for a brown ale in my opinion. Impressive lacing as you drink.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at the pub. Rich clear reddish brown color. Fairly tall tan head. Nutty aroma with some caramel malt notes. Taste is slightly dry upfront but carries a light roasted characteristic. Slight soapy flavor but not as a deterrent. Finish is light with some stronger characteristics. A tea-like aftertaste.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
[Tap] Pours a lighter shade of brown with a fizzy tan head. Aroma of toffee and caramel malts with light hopping. The taste of this beer is actually quite hoppy for a brown ale. The hops attempted to disguise the lack of a meaningful malt base in the taste. Still got some brown sugar and sweet caramel in here. Astringent hops left a dry finish. Average mouthfeel and body. This one could have been better.
