330ml bottle as Deugniet. Hazy straw yellow color. Nice fluffy white head, stays quite long. Fruity, orange, yeasty, malty aroma. Slightly sweet as well. Alcohol, yeast, almonds, liquid butter, nut oil in flavor. Slightly dry jet oily hop-yeasty aftertaste. Certainly enjoyable.

Tasting side-by-side both "Triple Moine" and "Deugniet". Both small bottles. They do look and taste similar. Semi-cloudy pale golden body with a tall white head. Sweet sugary and lemony aroma with wheat and yeast. Crisp carbonation. Mouthfeel is a bit light, the taste is not as rich and ripe as you would find in the best examples of the style - Trappist Abbey Tripels. Dry finish. Low ABV for the style but the beer doesn’t manage to cover it too well.

330 ml bottle, as Deugniet. Poured into my trusted tulip glass. ABV 7,5%. Pale orange golden on the body, slighty hazy. On top of it two fingers of snow white head, soapy in texture with average retention. Light lacing around the glass. Lots of citrus on the aroma, nice and refreshing. Some banana bread and bubblegum too. Taste follows the aroma with a ton of citrus fruits, aome green apples on the background and a slighty bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Medium body, lots of carbonation. Very dry on the palate. Overall a very nice, refreshing beer.

erickok (2282) - Tours, FRANCE - JAN 20, 2013
Light golden, misty body and frothy grey head. Lemon, cake, sugar, fresh yeast and grass hops. Light wit bier like fresh taste, not as rich as expected. Bit boring, can’t live up to the competition. It doesn’t tingle my taste buts as I’d hoped. Ah well. (75cl bottle)

Taste of caramel or butterscotch. Smooth mouthfeel. Easy to drink. Worth buying again considering it was 10 bucks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasting various beers with friends. Summary for this bottle of ’Deugniet’: Clear looks with nice head. Smells definitely with a lot of spices/herbs. Good full taste and full body.

Test vom 21.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,9,8,10,9 - 8,80

Drank this as Deugniet. From bottle, so hard to tell color, but it was foaming quite heavenly. Nice bitter taste of a Belgium tripel, and so was aroma. Hoppy, with slight caramel and fruits. Quite nice aftertaste, more bitter then bittersweet. (Amsterdam 201210)
