33cl as Deugniet. Very simple Tripel. Feels rather like a blond with extra alcohol. Smooth and light indeed.

Lichttroebel gelig bier met mooie schuimkraag. Fruitige en kruidige aroma’s met honingtoets. Smaak is zoet met fruittoets. Licht bittere afdronk. Een aangename trippel.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Fruity and spicy aromas, honey, green apples, earthy and some grass. Taste is sweet with bready malts coming through first with an almost sickly sweetness following however the high carbonation allows this without it becoming too overpowering. A distinct green apple and orange flavour. Not the greatest of the Belgian beers I have come across, but nonetheless enjoyable.

TET (2259) - Kaarina, FINLAND - NOV 8, 2014
A dark yellow beer with a clouding, big and blond head. The nose has fruits, some honey, hint of spices, typical. Taste has fruits, sweetness of honey, some spices. Medium bodied, strong carbonation but smoothly. Easy, simple and straightforward, mild as tripel, good anyway.

Original abbey tripel and the mother beer of Corsendonck Agnus, though the recipes have grown apart a bit since then. Ordinary tripel with golden blonde robe under a loosely structured, snow white, bit creamy head. Fruity estery aroma (orange, grapefruit, unripe pear and plum), malty, hoppy touches, and some DMS (cooked cabbage), light sweetish and estery taste, yeasty, more dryish in the finish, grassy hops. Mediocre at best.

Bottle from Sugaya. Citrus and yeasty aroma, with orange blossoms and rich apple. Hazy orange/amber color, big fluffy and head, which clowly diminishes. Good lace. Light spicy fruit, very distinct apple, earthy maltiness, finish is smooth and balanced. Medum body. Pleasantly fruity and refreshing. Alc. seems a bit light for a tripel, and it’s a bit heavy for a blonde (which is what’s on the label). Good stuff.

Bottle as Deugniet. Quite carbonated, almost excessively so. This is a delicious beer, though. Nice and sweet, though there’s a weird lingering aftertaste at the end.
