Bottle shared by Garret at Salud, thanks! Cloudy yellow color, thick white head with good retention and solid lacing. Taste is sour, peppery barnyard with dusty fruit. Very tasty.

Tap at FWIBF. Pours a slight yellow/gold with tiny white residual head from the tap. Aroma is pledge cleaner and some dust. Taste is banana and belgian yeast with some slight tart notes. Wheat plays a part but this is just not my thing.

Growler shared at Colin’s pad. Cloudy light yellow pour with a white head. Sour citrus aromas. Sour but not overly tart with lemon zest highlights. Average body and mouthfeel.

On tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pour is pale amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavor are both of wheat, yeast, cloves, and some belgian candi sugar. Zesty and bitter finish. Meh.

Tap @SARA. Pours cloudy pale amber with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma is yeast, pepper, lemon, herbs. Flavor is light sweet and light plus zesty bitter. Medium body. Nothing special here.

Draft. Hazy straw beer with a whitish head. Light wheat aroma. Wheat and spice flavor with yeast. Medium bodied. Wheat and spice linger with yeast and light lemon.

On tap at SARA. Pours a nice deep straw color, totally opaque, with a filmy white head. Fresh grains abound in the aroma with subdued fruity touches of banana, peach and orange. Similar flavor, grainy malt base with a creamy vanilla-banana note and mild stone fruit. Light tartness throughout. A very nice, basic saison, really easy to drink but at the same time flavorful and rewarding. Brings to mind Odonata saison.

Tap: hazy golden with medium-sized white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, and clove. Flavor is sweet with honey and soft caramel then mildly tart with lemony citrus, ending with some citrus peel bittetness. Easy drinking for sure, nice flavors, will drink more.

On tap at brewery (3R). Cloudy yellow with a creamy white head. Sweet bready lemon and other citrus and taste with some nice Belgian candy sugar flavors and a zesty finish. Nice soft medium bodied palate. Well done.

On draft at the 2013 SF beer week opening celebration. It pours a very pale yellow color. Cloudy with a huge white head. The aroma is subdued with some citrus, fresh bread, orange peel, and light vanilla notes. The flavor is wheat, oats, orange peel and a bit of soap. A touch of spice from the yeast, but very light. This seems more like a witbier to me. Pretty tasty and drinkable, if unexciting. Can’t wait for the sour version next year!
