4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: The pour is a clear straw color with a finger of white head and minimal lacing.
S: The citrus aroma on this beer is outstanding. Sharp grapefruit and tangerine peel notes along with just a touch of grass. I don’t pick up hardly any malt to this.
T: Quite bitter with tons of grapefruit flavor, both flesh and peel. There’s a minimal grassy hop aroma and quite a bit of pine as well. Once again, not much malt to speak of.
M: The body is sort of light, but holds up well enough, and the carbonation is moderate.
D: The first beer I had at Triple Rock and perhaps the best one. They call it a bitter, but it’s most certainly an American style Pale, just incredibly hoppy.
