On tap at Triple Rock poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and light bitter chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, coffee, roasted malt and light vanilla with a smooth porter and a good potent hop finish.

Enjoyable no doubt. Nice and smooth but maybe lacking some flavor. Would get it again.

Good standard porter, black with white head which dissipates gradually leaving decent lacing. Coffee and chocolate aromas. One to try if porters are your bag.

A decent but boring porter. Pours a nice inky black. Not much of any smell. Some chocolate and nuts in the taste, but a basic porter. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap: near black with red tint and a medium-sized almost white head. Aroma is smokey roast grain, coffee, and a slightly stale malt note. Flavor is mild bitter with lots of coffee, roast grains, a light charcoal, a nutty stale earthy note, and a light molasses sweetness running around the background. Palate is light bitter and soft sweetness with a chalky gritty feel running a bit thin. Decent flavor, not my favorite porter or beer here.

A - Pours a black-brown color with a thin covering of frothy khaki colored head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some decent lace. S - Aroma is a mix of roasted and slightly burnt chocolate malt with a bit of coffee and some earthy hops/ T - Starts off with some sweet roasted chocolate malt with some lightly earthy hop. Through the middle some burnt malts come through with some more hops flavor and coffee. The finish is a mix of roasted coffee and chocolate malts with a bit of sweetness. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a slightly dry and roasted finish. D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced porter with a good mix of chocolate and coffee flavors. Could use a touch more body,

Draught @ Triple Rock. Malt, coffee, chocolate. Thin body for a porter, flavor doesn’t sustain, almost a chalky quality.
