Wonderful, amber with almost egg-shell head, which lasted for a good, long time. Quite catty in the nose, with hints of pine and resin. Citrusy hops taste. Very, very, very bitter and very skewed to the hop side of the equation (as it should be for the style), but medium-to-full bodied palate is also quite pleasing. Very clean finish.

A - Pours a clear copper-orange color with a thin finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind a bit of lace. S - Aroma is full of pine and citrus hops. Lots of grapefruit. There is a bit of sweet caramel malt alongside. T - Starts off with lots of pine and herbal hops with lots of bitterness and some light caramel malts. Through the middle, the citrus grapefruit hops start to come through with even more bitterness. The finish is a mix of pine hops and strong bitterness with a touch of booze. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a very dry finish. D - Very drinkable. Huge hop flavor here with some really nice strong bitterness. Really nice big hoppy DIPA.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed orange to amber hued body with a small white head that lasts. Aromas are big, floral, citrus, dank hop aromas. Light caramel and some alcohol. Medium-light esters. Flavors are dank, tropical fruit, slightly over ripened fruit. Noticeable alcohol. Medium sweetness and caramel. Grassy finish. Medium to fuller body. Finishes medium dry and with medium to light bubbles. Just a bit too sweet for my tastes. I enjoyed DANKness more!

On tap at the brewery. It pours a bright golden color with a white head. The aroma is straight up marijuana and citrus. Fresh and very inviting. The flavor is the same. Very light bodied, hoppy and tasty. One of my favorites. I wish I could clone this brew!

GABF 2010. Another top 10 beer of the fest easily- one of the best DIPAs. Pours a hazed light copper orange with a nice sticky head. Aroma is big dank weed, huge grapefruit, simcoe, columbus, and other big big pnw hops and very fresh- light cara, and toasted malt backbone for light sweetness light body and alcohol and that is it- hops all the way through. FLavor is resinous, dank, citrus, pine, grapefruit, sappy, almost hop oil extract flavor with a big resinous hoppy bitter finish and pretty dry overall- easy drinking. Loved it. Went back every time I passed the booth.

GABF 2010. Best IPA/DIPA of GABF in my opinion. Hop Heads seek this beer out, you will not be disappointed. KILLER. Well balanced hop bomb, sticky resiny hops. decent malt backbone to stand with. Incredible beer.

On cask at San Diego Real Ale Fest, Carlsbad (6/12/09): Pours a hazy orange with a well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of lots of fresh resiny grapefruity hops and a lightly sweet pale maltiness. Lots of sweet pale malts in the body with great resiny citrus flavor hop balance before a crisp, bittersweet, slightly warming finish. A very nice IIPA.

On Tap at Triple Rock. Appearance is orange amber. Aroma is very fragrant grapefruit, pine and hops. Flavor begins with intense bitterness and grapefruit followed by citrus hops and some malt sweetness. Very strong citrus present throughout. It finishes crisp, bitter and piney. Rich and hoppy with excellent balance between the citrus flavors and the maltiness.
