2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nik925 (635) - USA - SEP 7, 2009
Crisp, sharp metal nut flavor. Odd fermentation off flavors. The aftertaste is bold almonds and pretty good. Overall though, this is thin and comes up short.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ibrew2or3 (4896) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 18, 2012
On tap at Triple Rock pouring up clear deep gold with thin copper core and tiny near bright white head. The mild aroma offers up some sweet malts, a touch of slightly roasted malts and a dash of vague hoppiness. The taste has carbonation enhanced punchy notes of spicy to floral hops mixing with some sweet malts and a thin river of malty sweetness. Nice Pale where the hops are a bit on the bright side for an, as stated, English Style Pale but I’m totally cool with that.

A - Served a clear copper-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind come nice lace.
S - The aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts with some citrus and floral hops.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts with some light citrus hop. Though the middle a touch of bitterness comes through alongside some more malt flavor and a bit of floral hop. The finish is a mix of sweet malts with some light bitterness and some citrus hop.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a crisp and refreshing finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice very sessionable pale ale. The flavors are not too bold, but they are nicely balanced making for a very refreshing beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BMan1113VR (6442) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 5, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazy golden-yellow body with a small white head that slowly fades. Aromas of orange, florals, tangerine, honey and a light, bready to grainy malt character. Flavors are quite malty for a pale ale. Honey, bready, grainy. Hop flavors are light and there is very little bitterness. Kind of bland to be honest. Citrusy and grapefruit. Medium to lively bubbles. Pretty dry finish.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 womencantsail (3927) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - JAN 17, 2011
A: The pour is a straw yellow color with a moderately sized white head.
S: The hops character seems to be more floral here with some slight fruit notes and a lightly sweet malt base. I get quite a bit of bread on the nose, too.
T: Bready and toasty in terms of the malt flavor, which is what this beer seems to be more about. Quite a bit of floral hop flavor with some hints of citrus and bitter pine notes.
M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: Not sure why this is called an APA on here, Triple Rock clearly had it called an English Pale ale at the brewpub, and as one of those, it succeeds quite nicely.
