A smooth, rounded flavor that is well balanced showing off banana and sweet malts with a nice kick at the finish with pepper and clove.

A finger of head on an opaque, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is barnyard, hay and alcohol.
The taste is malty with hardly a hint of bitterness. A little booze and muddled lemon and cinnamon.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation and medium body.
A nice ale with good flavor and smell.

On tap at Church Key in San Francisco during Beer Week 2012. Pours cloudy reddish amber with a small white head that fades slowly, leaving slight lace. On the nose, there are tart notes of pear and apple paired with malts and spice. The flavour is sweet with lots of fruit, honey, pear and berries, paired up with woody, spicy notes. The finish is long and malty with fruit and a huge banana note. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, milky texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a nice fruity Belgian style ale. It is simpler than I would like, but drinkable. 2012-02-16

Bomber poured a hazy orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of straw, pear, citrus, honey and light coriander. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, pear, citrus, yeast and coriander with a smooth lingering yeasty citrus finish.

Pours an amber color with an off white head. Smells of honey, belgian yeast, and some cloves. Slightly dry finish with some coriander in the taste. Decent.

Bottle. Pours with a lightly hazed golden-amber hued body with a medium sized off-white head. Strong aromas of VDKs, floral, honey, marzipan, esters, buckwheat honey. Flavors are both sweet and bitter, lightly spiced, tea like chamomile notes. Diacetyl, alcohol,floral coriander, herbal. Light dried molasses notes. Hot/alcoholic with medium carbonation.

If they regard this as their Grand Cru, i’m afraid to taste anything else in their product line. Bottom line it’s just plain weak, wish washy and unsatisfying - starting with it’s thin head, right up to it’s oddly unpleasant bitter aftertaste, it’s a beer to be avoided. closest thing i can compare it to is cold tea.

Hazy copper orange in orange... Aroma of Belgian sugar, yeast... Flavor is fairly thin and light... Notes of candi sugar with slight bitterness on the palate... Kind of weak and light on all levels... Decent at best

a clear orange/yellow colored beer, with a white head, disappears quickly. The aroma is very spicy, coriander, with fruits. The taste is fruity, orange, spices with a little bitter. The aftertaste has spices and bitter.

Bottle. Pour is hazy amber with bits of orange. Flavor jumps with fruity esters, pear, wet paper, green grape. A bit dirty towards finish, some caramel sweetness. A bit clunky for the style, weight shows at finish.

Amber color with a white head. Smells like jalapeños, stale bread, watery, very sweet and sugary. Maybe some pepper? The flavor is just as bad. Super sweet with tons of jalapeño. Toast, stale bread, and water. Not a winner at all.
