33cl Bottle@ home. Darker blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a large white head. Hoppy light fruity grassy hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is sweet fruity bitter hoppy balanced. Longer bitter dry ending. Not bad.

Appearance: clear light gold, with one finger of creamy white head quickly shrinking to minimal cap and lace; pours are successively more cloudy toward the bottom of the 750. Aroma: beautiful aroma, full of freshly baked white bread, pie crust and crackers; tons of very juicy, fruity hops cascade through next, then a hint of yeasty, peppery spice. Taste: toasted bread with a dab of honey butter, grapefruit and light pineapple, toasted coriander (maybe some fennel?), then a crackery, almost popcorn-like note on the back end. Finish: the dry hopping is evident on the back end, as the lively, almost sharp palate dries out nicely to citrusy, lightly grassy notes that withhold bitterness, and the delightful malt backbone holds strong. Notes: This was a simply tremendous beer. Very interesting to learn about the in-house malting done with this brew, and there was definitely something special about the malt character of this beer. The hops were perfectly applied. Not a bitter bomb at all, but heavily dry-hopped to perfection. Iím a huge fan. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

If only it tasted as good as it smells. Pours a thick, frothy head with wonderful aroma of breadÖinitial taste is great, but quickly turns to an acidic boozy sour. My suspicions were correct; Iím glad I only ventured this way via a pick-6.

Bottle - light amber with a foamy white head. Aroma of hay, malt and grassy hops. Taste is malty, hay and a bit of clove and spice, but not really much else. Lightly bitter. Light body, prickly carbonation.

11.2oz bottle. Foams up when you open it, not quite a gusher. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Massive foamy, pillowy off-white head. Bitter, astringent aroma...dry noble hops gone stale and earthy. Not that impressive at all, has some potential infection issues, as it has some woody, leathery brett notes. Has some yeasty depth. Overall, this isnít that impressive of an offering. Drinkable, worth a tick, but wouldnít be hyped to try it again.

This is a wonderful delightful beer. The brewer, and owner, Bert Van Hecke rigged an old coffee roaster and makes his malt for his Heaven and Hell beers by roasting white malt in this contraption. This beer is awesome, and fresh. Itís hop balance is much more to an American ipa crowdís liking. Van Hecke has the creds as he came from St. Bernardus where he was the master brewer.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Nose is pear, Belgian sweet estery tones, straw, honey and hints of bread dough and red fruits. Taste is sweet grains, apple peel, white sugar and hints of red fruits, pears, grass and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Quite a smooth Belgian ale with an original hoppy touch. I like it.

Murky dark yellow with big lacing white foam head. Foam is muffling aroma, thus little weak, mostly barley, some hop tones. Good bitter hop taste, barley, some leather notes not bad. (Arnhem 201411)
