UPDATED: FEB 20, 2015 Blond strong ale barrelt in fresh roasted oak by the brewer himself who also roast the malt himself.what i like about this One is the taste of the oak, you dont have to use former barrels of whisky or ..... to get barrelt beer .fresh roasted oak is also deliscious without the taste of bourbon or calvados,

Deep amber to brown body that is hazy due to an extreme amounts of suspended small sediments. Beige, long-lived head that leaves lots of foam on the glass. Slightly boring, moderate aroma of caramel and Belgian yeast. Moderate flavour that follows the aroma, but with evident notes of wood and fruits in addition, also some herbal hints and alcohol. Moderate sweet and moderate bitter taste, fairly long finish. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel, full-bodied. A decent brew, but not particularly interesting.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours copper clear with a big beige head. Smell of spices, oak, caramel, dust, some yeast esters and clove. Heavy sweet, quite yeast dominant, flour, some spices and malts, alot of strange toast from the toasted oak. Moderate bitter finish. This wasn’t my glass of beer for sure. The oak toast mess up an ok belgian and makes it a bit less interesting.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is vanilla, oak, red berries, apricot, grains, hints of candi sugar, nuts and amarone grapes. Taste is caramel, bread dough, candi sugars, oaky tannins, nuts and hints of alcohol, nougat, roasted bread, straw and red berries. Full body, medium to high carbonation. Complex and very pleasant, somehow without quite reaching Olympian heights, nevertheless.
