Attention: Brewer’s notes: Every brew of this recipe is marked with a roman number because these brews are made periodically and the taste changes according the age and the fermentation on the bottle. With these numbers you can easily check which brew you have. The recipe always stays the same. Versions I & II = br.DeGraal. Versions III to XI = DeProefbrouwerij. Version XIII = ’t Hofbrouwerijke. Versions XIV-XV = DeProefbrouwerij. -------------------- Wyeast Belgian Strong Ale Lagermalt Viennamalt East Kent hop Saaz hop Tomahawk hop Brewed at De Proef mainly, but also at De Graal and Hofbrouwerijke for a group of enthusiastic homebrewers, that operate a mobile homebrewery which can be seen on the road at festivals, etc.

Bottle at Ølbaren, Cph. Pours lightly hazy golden with a great, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma is very malty compared to other Belgian brews. Light apple notes. Okay mouthfeel, high carbonation. Flavour is vinious, quite malty again, some apples. Yeast notes aplenty, but not really that tripel-ish.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of Ask, Jes, Jens and Rasmus. Pours slight cloudy with a slowly collapsing white head. Mild cornish aroma. Light dry malty aroma. Mild yeasty, fruity and smooth malty flavoured. Smooth finish with a nice lingering yeasty note.

Bottle at ØLbaren - small tasting. Clear golden - white head. Sharpness, alcoholic, whaety, licorice, yeasty licorice, orange, berries, rotten, light flowery. High alcoholic aroma & finish.

Ungstrup (29168) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2010 Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops, alcohol, fruit, and a bit of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of slightly rotten fruits, elderflowers, hops, and cloves, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Batch VIII. An amber beer with a some sediment floating around under a thin white head. The aroma has notes of straw and citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and some citrus, leading to a dry finish. Same rating.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2008 A hazy orange colored beer, with a huge foamy white head. The aroma of malts, hops, fruits, like bananas, citrus and pineapple. The taste is malty sweet, with hops, fruits and a little bitter. The aftertaste is fruity sweet with some bitter.

Trisser VIII - Yesterday from bottle, 75 cl. Tasted with Rob. Hazy, golden color, with off-white creamy head. Aroma fruits, some yeast, sweet malts. Medium body. Taste bit sweet, fruits, malts, nice hops bitterness. Like it !
