330 ml bottle @ Restobières, Brussels. Slightly hazy golden/orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Quite mild but nice aroma of spices, fruit, yeast and a faint hint of caramel. Flavour is sweet, spicy, yeast and fruity. Nothing really specially going on, but it’s really refreshing and quite nice anyway. A bit less sweet that normally for Belgium trippel and that’s not necessary a bad thing.

Bottle from Quali Drinks, Mechelen, consumed at Camping De Molen, Antwerp, Belgium, Saturday 8th February 2014. Pours hazy gold, bit sweet maybe and a bit simple perhaps but I’m rather liking it. Soft in mouth, yeast and spice, bitterness shows. Perhaps a little sweet spicy lemon. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Benzai (7322) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 15, 2014
Bottle (label says brew XIX) @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. A bit unclear orange color, medium sized white head that leaves good lacing. Smell and taste malts, lightly hops, fruitpeel bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all, nicely hopped tripel with a light fruity touch. Maybe a bit messy, but it tastes fine and after all that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?

Bottle @ benzai. Slightly hazy golden yellow to orange colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells yeast, hint of banana, sweet, candy, sugar. Tastes malts, banana, herbs, yeast, sharp. Very dry beer, medium body. Hate how it dries up my mouth and throat.

Version XVIII.

33 cl bottle as "Trisser XVI", 7,6% @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. Brewed on 26.01.2012. Bottled on 13.02.2012.
Pours clear dark golden color with a small head. Aroma of yeast, some spice notes, mild ripe fruits and some caramel malts. Flavour of citrus, mild hops, some grass, yeast and faint spicy notes. Somewhat sourish palate. Decent, a bit too grassy though.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Bruxelles, 7.6% ABV
batch XIV, brewed 1/9/2010 bottled 29/9/2010

Clear golden to light amber color with generous compact head. Technically a correct brew, it has anonymous aroma and flavor, moderate residual sweetness, almost no Belgian character, ordinary bitterness; I expected more fantasy from a homebrewers club.
I can’t dig this.
