COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A particularly well-balanced medium-bodied example, the Magnificent Amber Ale pours amber to copper with a slightly off-white head, leads with a hoppy nose, follows with a toasty maltiness, and wraps gracefully with a noticeably caramel finish.

Pours garnet-colored with a healthy, rocky beige head that settles slowly leaving touches of soapy lace. Nose involves plenty of caramel, some orange and pine hop notes, touches of spicy and earthy noble hop notes, and perhaps a hint of metallic twinge. Taste is fairly sweet, candy-like, with a pretty intense bitterness and some tartness. Heavier side of medium bodied, average carb, with a tinny herbal hoppy bitter finish. Not a bad beer, but it doesn’t come across as especially clean. The hops and malts clash some, and the metallic nature seems to grow and really impact the palate. It’s really cool looking though: the darkness surprised me at first but I like it. It’s quite easy drinking in spite of itself. Just a little muddled.

12oz bottle from fletche00, thanks Zach. Poured a dark brown body with a slight orange hue on the outer edges underneath an average sized super frothy light beige head. Aroma of copper, bad wet chocolate, wet nut shells, bad molasses and super old orange slices. The body is solid with a medium mouthfeel and average carbonation that finishes rather thick like a mil shake. The flavor is about as good as the aroma, notes of well done toast, very light chocolate, hint of nuts. Meh, at best but flavor seems to be a bit a better than the aroma on this one.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Nutty caramel aroma. Highly carbonated. Tan head dissipates quickly. Sweet malty taste that finishes very bitter. Weak bodied.

Bottle. Cloudy deep amber with a frothy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of raw, floral hops, toasted grain. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Thin to medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Weak, flabby malts that result in hop bitterness in a watery body. Taste of raw hops, raw grain. Mediocre.

Bottle. Nutty malt and dusty hops aroma. Clear chestnut with a moderate beige head. Slightly sweet nondescript malt and herbal hops flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Standard amber.

Pours a deep amber with no head at all. Little bit of malt in the aroma. Tastes like dirty water and malt. More bitterness than I would have expected.

Clear dark amber with a fast disappearing head and splotches of lace. The taste is slightly sour caramel malt, the sour providing the bittering through the finish. Very drinkable, but also, very average. Not a keeper.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tasting glass. From notes. A: Pours a very murky, dark brown with a thin off-white head. S: Subtle citrus notes and faint sweet malt notes as well. T: Sweeter caramel malts and light bitter citrus hop flavor to finish. Kinda reminds me of a brown ale. I’d really like to see this beer pack a little bit more off a flavor punch. M: Lighter bodied with low carbonation. O: Not bad, not great., not memorable, but drinkable. Serving type: bottle
