COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer, and a true example of the style, the Railsplitter India Pale Ale (IPA) is a fresh golden brew with noticeable citrus and floral aromas balanced on a nice malty backbone with a dry finish.

Not bad, but not particularly memorable. Hazy orange with a thick head. Mild aroma of some citrusy hops, but flavor was more malty than I expected and the grapefruit hops were unfortunately accompanied by a mild soapy flavor. I wouldn’t turn it down, but I wouldn’t buy it if I had other IPAs I could choose from.

Poured a cloudy amber that you can’t see thru. Very little smell weak hops and an ashy finish not very good. Not Recommended

Caramel colour with a nice head, great lacing. A complex nose of floral, citrus, especially grapefruit and orange. A taste of grapefruit rind, bttier but not overly bitter. Dry finish sligthly bitter.

Draft. From notes. Caramel and hay with a little citrus hops. Drinkable, but nothing super special.

Pale deep golden orange pour with a soapy off white head and small sticky lacing .... aroma of citrusy, piney/floral hops and caramel malts .... taste is of citrusy and spicy floral hops with a caramel malty backbone and a crisp hoppy dry finish .... a solid, sessionable average ipa with nice flavors and the abv is hidden well ... could drink this all day

12oz Bottle via trade. Pours out a dark gold topped with a off white head. Aroma is nice sweet caramel, citrus, and some light floral notes. Taste is just a little caramel, light hops, with a light bitter end. The nose would lead you to think this was going to be pretty tasty, but it was a little bit of a let down.

Beer #100 from my wife’s home state of Indiana. Aroma: Moderate grapefruit with some slight pine resin; malts are of the cereal variety and lightly present. Appearance: Hazy light copper with a bubbly off-white head. Flavor: Fairly bitter grapefruit up front, very dry all around (more floral/pine with the dryness); cereal is an afterthought and mostly present towards the finish. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Solid IPA; very similar to so many others around the country right now. Not a distinctive beer, but not a bad one, either.

Bottle. Pours a clear caramel with a medium-sized head and very little aroma. I am picking up a faint hint of caramel and that’s about it. Nothing offensive, but nothing enticing. Flavor has a bit of caramel and a little bit of floral and soapy hops, but not much interesting. More like a weakly done amber than an IPA if you ask me, but this one has sat in the fridge for a month and change.

24 karat sparkling gold pour. White head. Flavor of weak hops, biscuity malt and not much else. Meh.
