COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer, and a true example of the style, the Railsplitter India Pale Ale (IPA) is a fresh golden brew with noticeable citrus and floral aromas balanced on a nice malty backbone with a dry finish.

Poured a nice copper color in my pint glass. Head was great and lacing throughout the entire drink. Nice floral nose, very nice bitter finish. The mouth feel is a bland. Hop choice is great for an IPA. Not an amazing beer but one I will for sure purchase again. This will be a great beer on a hot summer day!

12oz bottle pours a hazy amber/orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral and fruity, citrus, slight hops, and caramel malt. Sweet and malt forward with notes of citrus and some bitter resinous hops on the finish. No amazing but enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours Golden Brown. Floral aroma. Hop forward beer but the bitterness seems to linger for awhile after you taste. I would prefer a more crisp finish. Decent. ----Hophaze out

Bottle. This beer is a beautiful deep copper color. Pours with a thick 1 finger head. Clear with light lacing on the glass as I drink it down. Aroma smells of orange juice and grapefruit. A touch grassy, probably from dry hopped cascades. Not all that strong and a bit 1 sided. As the beer warms I can pick up some toasted malt. Flavor is nicely balanced between hop flavor, malt, and bitterness. I get mostly caramel flavor from the malt but there is a certain "richness" in the background that I really like. Finishes with enough bitterness to clear the palate for the next sip while still being very drinkable. This is a really solid IPA. A bit maltier than a "west coast’ IPA so I probably won’t look for this much in the summer.

Very solid IPA; not perfect, but it hits all the right notes per style. Great aroma and flavor, but a little thin in the mouth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle. Pours a rich deep orange with little head. The aroma is intense hops, tons of welcoming citrus, very inviting. A little over carbonated. The taste is very enjoyable with more intense hops. A little too much bitterness in the aftertaste that sticks around a little too long.

Bottle. Caramel, biscuit, and spicy-piney orange hops aroma. Hazy orange amber with a large ivory head, light lacing. Caramel malt and bitter citrus peel hops flavor. Medium to full sticky body.

Pours a fairly clear copper-orange with a smaller eggshell head that descends and leaves some soapy lace. Nose involves peppery hop notes, caramel, some orange-citrus, and some herbal notes and veers toward some mild tin notes. Taste is pretty bitter and lightly sweet. Palate is fuller than medium bodied, fairly soft on the carb, tingly with a drying hop bitterness. Pretty decent, but it doesn’t quite pop like I want it to.

Bottle... Sparkling clear orange/amber ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet is a mélange of caramel, sugar cookie and citrusy hops. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor tilts toward the bitter side of balance, but not by much – cookie sweetness and acrid bitterness are the highlights. Finishes lightly bitter, tongue-numbing and dry.
