An interesting beer; not something I'd usually drink. A drinkable pale ale, with the familiar smells and tastes of Belgian beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Draught) Pours a clear golden body with a moderate white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, nuts, and grain. Flavor of citrus, toasted grain, caramel, light butter, and nuts with a subtle medicinal finish.

Pour from a bottle is rather viscous. Sediment. Orange with brown hue. Big ale impressions. Must be quite high in abv. Mild volatile smell. Decent co2, surprizing, but fades. Finish is medicinal linger.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a cloudy golden orange with fluffy off-white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells sweet with a heavy Belgian yeast presence along with some hops. Tastes like it smells, but less pleasant, with a below average mouthfeel. Glad I didnít buy a glass of this.

Apparently his beer shows better on draft Han in the bottle. I had a draft at Flipdaddyís. nose o typical Belgian bubble gum, banana, pear and malt. Taste similar with a stronger malt backbone.

Bottle: Not to much to add that others have not said already. 1st: it doesnít come off very Belgian like, missing the earthiness and spicy notes of the yeast. 2nd: I too got a infected bottle that is full of vinegar like tartness and thin body. After getting a touch of infection in the stout and amber it seems Triton has some QC issues with the bottling line. Drain Pour!

This has the same weirdness as some other Triton beers Iíve tried, in that it has a slightly tart/vinegary taste at the end. Maybe just no one in town stocks fresh enough six packs of this stuff? Not terrible but when you drink a second one the tartness starts getting annoying.

12oz bottle from fletche00, thanks Zach. Poured a decent looling deep reddish amber body with a frothy mostly white head. Thatís about all this beer got right, all down hill from there. The aroma is bad white grape juice in an old metal can along with some stamp paste and earth. The body is hard to tell since itís tought to swallow, seemed medium overall with strong carbonation and luckily a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is actually worse than the aroma, notes of old raisins and some bad fruits along with rottiing bad lemon and cherry along with dough, pennies and earth. Not good, anywhere.

I could go into detail, but really...this beer is nothing special. Doesnít really taste like a Belgian. Pass.

12 ounce bottle
Coming from Triton my expectations were not all that high. As a result it was nice to run across this balanced, very drinkable release. Itís not a showstopper but at about $8.99 a six pack fairly priced for a daily drinker.

Aroma / Appearance - The amber base doesnít look too exciting at first. A fringe of bubbly head traps peach jolly ranchers, pears, and apples in a sweet combination.

Flavor / Palate - Honey, peaches, and melon soothe the palate. A gentle transition to a mild finish tickles the tongue due to lazy carbonation. The biggest flaw might be some harshness in the finish. All told though this is a beer that is somehow better than the sum of its parts.
