3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 HighWine (397) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Light amber color with a white head that fades to a thin ring around the glass. Faint aroma of cereal malt and Earthy hops. Taste is hoppier than most amber ales. Earthy hops, and resin show up first before fading to the background behind golden brown sugar and caramel. Hops show up again at the end. My description sounds like this beer is really balanced but its kind of choppy. Not much mouthfeel. The bigger than expected hops were a nice surprise but something’s missing here.

A very refreshing amber. Had it on tap at the Philly location. Pours amber with a small off white head. The aroma has a lot of malt, biscuit, some yeast. The flavor starts malty sweet but is balanced nicely by a nice hop bitterness. The finish is crisp, dry and clean

This poured a clear amber to red color with a beige head. Aroma was grainy, light biscuit and some old bitter/citrusy hops. Flavor was a bit off, almost dirty and graint, with herbal notes and light cracker.
