COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special India Pale Ale was first brewed in honor of Princeton University's 250th anniversary and Triumph Brewing Company's first. It's a crisp, hoppy, high gravity ale. The high hopping rate and hefty alcohol content, once used to preserve this ale on the long ocean voyage to India, now provide it with a distinct aroma and robust flavor.

Tasted: On Tap @ Triumph Brewing Company Phila, Pa. Aroma of caramel malt and spicy hops. Reading the description of dry hops expected more of a hop nose. Aroma of an ipa NOT dry hopped. Heavy bitterness of flavor. Caramel malt and citrus/ spicy hops. Amber color with thick frothy head. An average ipa not well balanced.

Draft at Triumph. Best of the tasting in my opinion. Clear yellow gold pour with tall white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, saw dust. Taste is bright citrus and some pine/resin hop notes with a sweet malt backbone. Clean and smooth on the palate.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 Keg at Triumph PHL, 30/11/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is earthy hoppage, bitter orange, light grapefruit, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, earthy hops, toasted malt, orange sherbet, tangy citrics. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Ok IPA but nothing I’d be tearing back to !

Flavor is moderate hops and bitterness, supporting malt, light fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, loads of orange pulp, classic. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt with floral hops, light butterscotch, decent.
