Jan 3, 2008 Tap at Philly brewpub. Clear amber/orange with a smallish head. Taste was caramel malts, brown sugar and some cherry and plum fruits. Spicy hops seemed to really pick this beer up. I thought the alcohol was well hidden, but some people (like the bartender) disagreed. Still, it’s a winner.

Dec 2, 2007 On tap at the Downtown Philly location. Poured a deep golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of bread, toasted malts, and fruity. Tastes of fruitiness, toasted bread, and caramel. Light alcohol in the finish.

Nov 29, 2007 On tap at the Philly location. Nice amber-gold color with a medium head. Aroma is a nice sweet toasty-malt that has some light fruit in there. Flavor is a sweet, bready, fruit mix with a bit of hops in there. Nice feel. Pretty good D-Bock.

Nov 5, 2006 GABF 2006. Caramel colored. Small off white head. Nose is malty with caramel notes, some light fruit, and soft alcohol. Taste is chewy malts, more caramel, ripe fruits, cocoa and some toasty notes. Body is medium. Moderate carbonation. Finishes with more caramel, chewy malts, fruit and cocoa. Some alcohol emerging here as well.
