Commercial Description:
About a hundred and fifty years ago a new style of beer, the granddaddy of clear pale lagers, arose in the Bohemian town of Pilsen. To get that authentic Old World taste, we use genuine Saaz hops imported from the Czech Republic.

on tap @Garden State Beerfest-pours a thin to patchy white head with yellow color. Aroma is faint light grain, spice hops. Taste is light malt that dominates, then some spice/perfumy/continental hops. Easy drinking. OK/mild carbonataion.

Darker yellow than style typically suggests, skunky hop bitterness, a little on the sweet side, not a great effort.

2/1/06. New Hope. I was told "this is not a czech pilsener" by someone who apparently has been there many times, and is also crazy. Not so bad. Some of the Saaz poking up. Decent pils, though maybe not a CZECH pils. Czech yo’ self before you Wrech yo’ self

Sweet malts come through in the nose with the saaz hops pushing their way up as you take your first sip. Very light body midway through with a little spicy / bitter finish adding to the dryness. One of the first pilseners I have ever appreciated.
