This poured a dark dark red almost brown with a medium beige head. Aroma was very yeasty, dark fruits, and some spices too. Yeast and spice dominate the flavor with some slightly tart dark fruits in the finish. Nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy cherry walnut color with creamy khaki head. Aroma of banana and clove covered in roasted malt. The nose is a bit distant and mild. Flavor has a bit more to it: nutty malt and wheat with a slight touch of lemon. More bubble gum as it warms. Lemony finish. A touch tart with a background of caramel and roasted malt. Solid.

Tap at Triumph in Philly for RBSG 2011. The pour is a clear reddish amber with a large, tan head leaving webby lace. Big husky grain nose with large amounts of cinnamon oatmeal. Not really "husky" as much as raw oat bran like cinnamon Cracklin’ Oat Bran. Taste is on for style with sweet rolls, cinnamon apples, pears, cinnamon oatmeal. Finish is clean and actually fairly tart and lactic. Yum.
