3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jason (1670) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2006
draft at the brewpub. My real complaint with this was that I got it served in a pint glass and that did nothing to the aroma and appearnce of a pilsner. Pretty good taste and well balanced. Very crisp and smooth.

Draught at Princeton. Poured a super light straw body with lots of rising effervescence and a bright white foamy head. Aroma is subtle with notes of honey topped bread, and fresh green hops, Saaz I’m thinking, why I don’t know I don’t really know my hops. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation that is on the strong side and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor of cereal, grains, hops and a hint o green grape fruit. This was okay but that’s about it.

sample at the Philly location on 1/19/08. my least favorite of the 8 I sampled... not that great.... or maybe it’s me not liking German pilsners all that much. golden in color, slightly hoppy... the finish is disappointing.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild grassy and malty. Medium dry malty and slight grassy. Subdued bitterness. Ends medium dry and slight grassy.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours gold with a white head. Lightly sweet aroma with a touch of noble hops. The flavor brings more hops than the aroma, and has enough malt to remain balanced. Not bad.

Crystal blonde with a decent head. Soft, hazy malted nose with light graininess. Grainy body with a pleasant tannic, sour-bitter finish. One of the better German pils examples out there.

(Draught) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a medium dense white head. Aroma of lemon, mustiness, and grass. Flavor of grass, lemon peel, cereal, and grain with a crisp, long lasting bitter finish.

The aroma is very little hops-likely noble hops. Tastes like warm bud light, kind of skunky tasting.
