Another sample brought to me in a growler from Princeton. Unfortunately, this beer wasn’t as good. The Honey Blonde poured a dark straw color with a small white head. The lacing around the glass was good, though. The nose was fairly sweet, with notes of honey, light hops and some fruit. The flavors were a bit bland, with only some honey and light hops in the body. This one was a little disappointing.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub - Princeton, 4/21/13

Aroma: The nose is fairly light with some grainy malts, bread, and some citrus as well
Appearance: This beer pours a golden color with a white head and some drippy lace-work
Flavor: The taste is similar to nose, not bad, but it is fairly light, and a little on the dull side
Palate: The body is fairly light, and there isn’t a ton going on here, but it has a decent feel
Overall Impression: This is one of those beers that is what it is. It looks fine and it tastes okay. There isn’t too much to say beyond that.

Smells a little sour. Pours watery blond but with a good head and good initial lacing. Aftertaste is crisp. No trace of honey that I can detect. On tap at brewpub.

Tap at Princeton. Pours out a clear, golden color with a small off white head. Aroma is of soft cereal/bready malts, honey and light floral hops. Taste is much the same, mild but still decently complex for the lower ABV, clean beer.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of floral hops and stone fruits. The taste is toasted malts, honey and floral hops. Medium bodied and crisp. Nice blonde ale.

Sample at the brewery in New Hope. Very basic blonde ale. Slightly sweet with notes of honey. Light hops. Slight minerality and firm palate from the hard water in the town.

Meh. Tastes like a sweeter light bodied "starter" ale that can be found at brewpubs everywhere. Nothing very complex about this one.

Draft. At new hope. Tastes of honey, flowers and water. Nothing memorable but quite nice drinking
