On draft at the Newtown brewfest with the Mad_Indian. Pours pale golden with a small solid white head. Aroma of pale malts, biscuit, grain, germn style hops. The flavor is slightly sweet pale malts, biscuit, crisp, with a nice balanced bitter dry finish.

MadIndian (2305) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2007
Sampled at the Newtown Brewfest 07 with Stegosaurus. Golden pour with a yeasty hoppy aroma. The mouthfeel was good with pretty much the same tastes as the aromas but it was blended rather well ans quite enjoyable.

kramer (4686) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2007
Draft sample, KSBF 2007. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a one finger plus white foamy head. Aroma is bready malt with a nice subtle german hoppiness. The flavor is the same bready and crackery maltiness with a very soft yeastiness and crisp hoppy finish. Mouthfeel was light bodied and soft with gentle carbonation. As fine as any Kölsch you’ll ever come across in the US. It might have helped that this was a fresh sample from draft as opposed to the mainly bottled examples I’ve had. It’s probably blasphemy to bottle any examples of this style, really.

KSBF07, pour was golden with ample carbonation, nice initial head, though quickly subsided. The aroma was bready biscuity with some notes of honey. The flavor followed suit, grainy bready malts with honey faintly behind it all and a dry lightly hopped (faint grass) finish. Unfortunately, this was a little on the watery side in flavor and mouthfeel. Competent, yet had many better takes on the style in Koln.

beerbill (3267) - Laurel, New York, USA - OCT 10, 2007
On tap at their New Hope, PA brewpub. Arrived at the table a brilliant clear gold with a small fluffy white head that quickly faded to a film. Light but pleasant aroma of fresh bread and some floral hops. The flavor was very nice with some light malt and biscuit flavors up front followed by some light hops at the finish. Smooth and refreshing. Not an overpowering beer, nor should it be. Very enjoyable.

Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2007
KSBF 07. (Brewed at New Hope) Pours a clear bright golden yellow with lively sparkling carbonation with a tight fluffy white head- good lacing as well. Aroma is pure bready fresh pils malts, doughy, light cracker, hints of an ester or 2, and floral zesy german hops. Crisp clean flavor, more dough and bread, light malt sweetness, light grassiness and some more floral hops at the end. Very clean and smooth in the finish. Excellent Kolsch- perfect on this hot Fall day.
