3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 HighWine (836) - Whalesbro, Illinois, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Black pour with a dense beige head that stays around forever. Decent lacing. Aroma of dark roasted coffee beans and smoke. Very flavorful...the most flavor I’ve had since I started with the sampler here. Taste is coffee and smoke with enough hops to hold it all together. Medium-plus palate. Good beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mike67 (601) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Samples at the Triumph. Pours dark brown hue with a creamy, brown head. Aroma is of coffee and some dark fruit. The body is medium and quite smooth. Coffee and roasted malt dominate flavors. Long, bitter finish. I did not enjoy this brew much.

Nitrogen pour. Black pour with tan head. Velvet like texture, chocolate, roasted and vanilla flavors line this brew. Nice, good to enjoy usually an overdone style.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kramer (3873) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2010
On tap, Philly location. Pours a clear dark brown body, almost black, with a creamy beige head. Minimal nose, just a little roasty malt and a touch of oat sweetness. The flavor is a little sweet with some roastiness that dries out a bit towards the finish. Not as flavorful as I would wish for. Light to medium bodied with a little more carbonation than most nitro Stouts. Prettty meh overall.

Tap at Triumph. Pours a deep, clear ruby with a nice tan, nitro head. Good nitro lace. Light bodied, slight roast, oak cherries, dark chocolate peak through. Overall the flavors are muted, the mouthfeel is soft. Pretty decent Guinness clone albeit a bit watery (Well Guinness is just that too!).

Opaque black with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, oaks, roast, cocoa, and some smoked wood. Taste of roast, cocoa, oatmeal, vanilla, and a dry finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 j12601 (5609) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 8, 2010
On tap at Triumph. Pours a deep dark brown to black, with a medium to large tan head, which stays around for a while. Very pretty. Faint roast with a touch of oatmeal sweetness. Lighter in body than I’d think, almost watery, lightly sweet, little roast. Light roast finish. Ok session stout but could use more body and character.
