3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the New Hope location. Pours a deep brown bordering on black with an average bubbly/foamy light tan head that left lacing all down the glass. Aroma was on the light side with hints of chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor of chocolate, some bitter coffee with lots of cream, roasty malts, oatmeal smoothness, lactose, nice hop bitterness but still on the thin side. Went nicely with the desert we ordered.

This was the jewel on my first visit to princeton location. Perfect sugar milked coffee, just the way I’d make a coffee to my taste. Lasting tan head over black beer. Perfect chocolate coffee mousse flavor. Smooth palate, relatively light. Quality stout.

Pitch black, tan creamy head. Nose held notes of sweet roasted coffee, cream, dark chocolate, toast, and hints of smoke. Flavor is quite similar with just a hint of chalkiness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and very smooth, roasty finish. Well done stout...

New Hope. Very nice deep dark brownish black with a creamy nitro head. Aroma is chocolate, light coffee, sweet caramel and nutty. Flavor is nice and full despite the nitro pour, and is loaded with chocolate malts and roasted barley. Some mild sweetness throughout and finishes with a nice creamy slightly bitter finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Princeton. Triumph’s stouts are always very similar, this one tastes very much like the two other stouts of theirs I’ve had except with a little bit of oatmeal wineyness added. Not as pronounced as I’d like, and the mouthfeel was a bit lacking, a little too thin.
