An opaque, velvety smooth stout combining seven different malts plus oatmeal for truly substantial body and texture.

Pint at Princenton location. Pours black with a large tan, creamy head. Aroma smells of coffee, cocoa and roasted malt. Taste comes across as some- roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate. A smooth drinking stout overall.

Triumph New Hope on nitro. Black beer with translucent brown edges and a light tan head. Aroma of quality black coffee, sweet dark malt, and moderate roast. Flavor includes a hint of cocoa and a nice note of dark rum. Not overly starchy, but the oatmeal comes across well. Silky, smooth texture. A good oatmeal stout.

This was descent but a bit harsh on the finish. Poured dark brown with a great tan head. Smell was really sweet with oatmeal, coffee and bitter chocolate. Taste was a bit too sweet for my liking. Not bad at all.

On tap, in Princeton. Pours dark brown/black, with a tan head. Aroma is malt, and grain. Medium body, with flavors of oatmeal and malt. The ending is slightly sour.

Part of the sampler at the New Hope, Pa brewery. Nice sweet roasty flavor to it. A tad thin.

This is a good one. Dense, black body, creamy head that lasted. Smooth, slightly sweet, with a good hop balance. A dilemma, enjoying the residual taste after two dry swallows and resisting the urge for another sip.

Another winner from Triumph. A very decent oatmeal stout that poured with an excellent, big creamy head. Definite smokiness and a nice smooth palate. I’m going back for more!

On draft in New Hope. Gorgeous pour, delicious brew. Easy on the black patent malt, exceptionally smooth and silky. And as drinkable as an ESB.

Decent stout with some smokiness. Not that great of an oatmeal stout, but its an ok stout.

Definite toasted malty and coffee flavors present here. This review is based on me drinking it last fall but it was good enough that I remember it. Some say it more dry than sweet and that might be true but it doesn’t detract from this stout at all
