UPDATED: JAN 4, 2006 Pours golden, clear with 1 finger head. Nice, persistent carbonation. Crisp and malty aromas, subtle green hops. Excellent combination of malts with a balance of saaz-like hops. Rounded out with a mild bitter finish. The first pilsener that brought me to the light side...

Tap at the New Hope location. Yellow, clear, white head. Aroma of slight hops and a hint of Sulfur. Flavor dominated by German hops. Some malt balances things out. Touch of Sulfur noted. Decent pils.

02.06.05 Princeton. Pale, pale, pale golden with a big old fluffy, light, white head. Light grassy, floral aromas faintly mask the Slovak mysteries, for instance, why brew a pilsner for February? But it’s very good. Previous Triumph pils attempts I’ve thought have been missing the sharpness I crave in the style but this one hits the mark. Grassy and peppery, crisp and sharp. Well done.

On tap at Triumph during RBSG. Pours a clear golden straw yellow with a large white head. Crisp clean grain, light citrus. Dry and grainy, sweet grain notes, but very clean. Crisp and grainy bitterness. Simple and very nice.

2.19.05 Princeton There are a couple "pilsner"s from Triumph bangin around onthe list but this one is simply "Pilsner" on their board. I was actually kind of impressed by this one. They did it pretty well. Sharp like willblake said, upon reading his rating I was like "yes! exactly!" so I’ll just say: All ratings beneath mine for this beer were written by geniuses

New Hope location. Clear golden body with a foamy white head. Pungent aroma of musty wet hay and ripe citrus. Flavor is like a hopped up version of their helles bringing some of the same citrusy, grainy character. Decent texture helps bring out some of the flavor. Nose is a little strange, but this is still a solid pils.

At LVbrewfest, Nice aroma, clean hoppy. Appeared golden with a white head. Flavor was good, all hops but not overbearing. Palate was nice, medium body. I really enjoyed this and it has definitely enticed me to visit them.

Pretty good Pilsner, except the aroma was weak. All I got was hops in the aroma. Nothing really jumped out at me. The taste was bitter, but it worked well. Less malty than other Pilsners, but it was fine. The piney notes and caramel worked well.

Tap in Princeton. Creamy, hoppy, and clean finishing about sums this beer up. Light golden in color, White foamy head. Aroma almost matches that of any eastern european pils - Soggy yet fruity.
