COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It tastes like a glassful of pumpkin pie, and no wonder! Loads of pumpkin, along with our own blend of spices, give this orange-colored ale the festive flavor thatís perfect for the season.

on tap at the Philadelphia location. Lightly hazy orange/amber in color. Aroma is nutmeg, pumpkin, and toasted malt. Taste is toasty malt with pumpkin, nutmeg and caramel in the back. Light to moderately hoppy for the style and pretty well attenuated. Medium bodied, finishes lightly bitter. pretty well done.

Reddish copper color small head. Aroma has pumpkin pie spice and sweetness. Flavor is nice and balanced. Drinkable, a bit vegetal, which is nice to see, I taste pumpkin in this one, not just spice, still spicy but not overpowering.

Draft at Triumph. Pours red with a beige head. Nice aroma, lots of spices...cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Medium light mouthfeel. Very typical pumpkin beer, but clean. Not mindblowing either

On tap at the Philly brewpub. Clearish orange brown with some white froth. Nose is pumpkin spice; heavy on the clove and nutmeg. Medium light with moderate carb. Taste like the nose, some lemon and spices. I didnít pick up too much pumpkin. Spices avoid the bitter aftertaste i sometimes find in brews like this.

Growler from Princeton shared at Moosetoberfest. Poured a slihtly muddy brownish/red with a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma is very well done and like liquid pumpkin pie in a glass. The flavor is taken over by the spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and the pumpkin is more of a background flavor. Solid effort but once again the spices dominate and the pumpkin takes a backseat.

Princeton. I thought the flavor was a little too heavy on the spices with not enough pumpkin, but I keep comparing all the Pumpkin Ales I try to Dogfish Headís Punkin Ale, so I guess itís sort of unfair. Very drinkable, added flavors arenít overpowering, just maybe not as well rounded as Iíd prefer my beer.

Sample at the Princeton location: Pours a clear reddish-orange color with a compact light beige head that burns off quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of pumpkin, malt and nutmeg. Light-bodied with mild pumpkin and cinnamon flavors, along with other spices in the background. The finish remains pumpkin-y with a short herbal aftertaste. Overall the beer is okay, albeit one-dimensional.
