Purchased as De Graal Triverius, which matches style and ABV of this beer, I am assuming it is the same with a new label (perhaps for US) from Shelton Brothers. 750 ml bottle purchased at Beertopia in Omaha, Nebraska. Best before 06 2009. Pour is hazed gloden yellow with a 2 inch white head. Not much lacing. Aroma of wheat, floral sweetness, citrus hoppiness. Pretty muted nose. Taste is wheat, some earthy wet dirt, residual mineral elements. Palate is grainy, mouth coating and carbonated. Overall, a bit bland.

08-Aug-08 (750-ml bottle: Purchased 03-Apr-08 for $8.38 from liquidsolutions.biz) Triverius pours hazy, golden yellow body and a thin, whitish head, but the foam has pretty solid staying power, retaining a thin, complete layer for many minutes before breaking up. The primary aromas emanating from the glass are lemony citrus and spice, with secondary aromas of yeast, wheat and banana for complexity and balance, plus a hint of coriander. Similar follow through on the palate, lemon, bread, coriander, banana, bubble gum and light hops, with a nice spiciness emerging in the finish. It’s a bit on the sweet side though, which is okay when the beer is right out of the fridge, but as it warms up the sweetness adds the impression of added weight. Medium body is a bit on the heavy side, but the strong carbonation and zesty spiciness keep the palate lively and refreshing, though again, the beer begins to lose its refreshing quality as it warms up.

Bottle with a best before end date of 6/2009. Poured a medium sized fizzy white head that mostly diminiished, spotty amounts of lacing, hazy, lively, fast rising carbonation, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma was wheat, sweet, spicy, some yeast, some clove, some coriander, and lemon. The flavor was coriander, sweet, spicy, lightly acidic, lightly yeasty, crisp, refreshing, and finished semi-dry. The mouthfeel was sprite and light-medium in body. Quaffable, easy to drink, nothing about this beer knocked my socks off as there are better available of this style; however, it did seem to hit the spot on this warm, muggy Indiana summer day.

At KBW in Vichte (B). It’s a hazy yellow colored beer, with a nice foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, some sweet of orange. Wheaty and some spices. The taste is a bit bitter, with a little sweet and spicy notes of coriander. Dry and refreshing.

Bottle. Huge foamy white head that really lasted. Good display of lacework. Sparkling pale golden color with a cloudy look at the end. Aroma of yeast, spice, fruit, some underlying malty notes, coriander and mild pepper, citrus. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with mild bitter and acidic notes. Spicy and fruity – yeasty like finish. Quit refreshing in the hot sun… :-D

On tap at Reading BF 08. Hazy pale gold with thin white head. Lovely pineapple aroma. Excellent fruit in mouth. Some Belgian yeast aroma. Rose petal. Alcohol in present in the aroma I thought. Didn’t realise it was a wit I must admit, I had it down more as a pineapple/rose petal tripel.
