3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcot (771) - Campomorone, ITALY - JUL 22, 2010
Bevuta in bottiglia da 33 cl al bar San Siro di Genova. E’ una ottima blanche in grande stile, schiuma abbondante, colore paglierino, sapore agrumato e un grado alcolico abbastanza alto ma che non si sente per nulla. Davvero piacevole e beverina

A: The pour is a very clear pale golden color with a fluffy white head.
S: The nose is full of the usual spicy characteristics of clove and coriander along with sweet wheat, citrus, and some fruity esters.
T: The flavor is quite fruity with notes of banana, pear, and apple. The wheat, malt, and sugar provide plenty of sweetness which works well with the fruitiness.
M: The body is medium with a creamy carbonation and a somewhat dry finish.
D: A much nicer beer than I was expecting. I particularly enjoyed the fruitiness of it and it was quite different from any other witbier that I’ve had.

bottle at home ... golden ... yellow thin white head ... sweet yeasty hop ... over fizzy ... musty lemon yeast ... little bitter ...
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Geuzelambix (210) - København, DENMARK - APR 7, 2010
I had this after a few other good Belgian beer. Despite of that (or maybe because of that) I really liked this. A manly and quite heavy witbeer with a typical Belgian power combined with some lightness of the wheat. The yeast is characteristic and interesting.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (4800) - NUNEATON, Conference North, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2010
Bottle (as plain old De Graal Triverius). Beaten gold with a greenish tinge under a thinning white head. Ripe tangy aroma reminiscent of Tripel Karmeliet; satsuma, oat-like creaminess and citrus spice suggesting pepper and cardamom. What a sniffer. Flavour follows on logically with silky spice, lemon puff biscuits, orange peel, coriander, pineapple hints. Slick, clean and spicy. One I’d actively seek out again.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 akbar (4) - ITALY - DEC 27, 2009 does not count
At the nose it smells of yeast with some notes of bread may be wheat flour mixed with some citrus/lemon peel.
At the eye it doesn’t seem a blanche ’cause it’s too clear, may be a blond one...
Taste it’s a little bit too bitter for the style, and bitternes it’s quite persistent, a little salty could be noticed too.
Light body, as the style wants, well carbonated.
Over all a not so bad beer, anyway in the category has many other so much better...
