3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hefeweizen is my least favorite style of beer. Hopefully I can rate this one without prejudice. The aroma smells of coriander or similar spice. I like the appearance. Golden yellow with a large white head. Not too full on the palate which is good because I don’t care much for wheat.
Taste ok to me. Not picking up the coriander I thought was in the aroma. Someone that likes wheat beers might like this one more than I.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours hazy blond with an average head. A fair amount of carbonation. Sweet, banana/citrus aroma, richer in smell than many hefeweizens. Sort of close to a Belgian. The flavor is crisp and slight. Cloves, a little tang from the hops, and mild malt. This would be a good lawnmower beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottles. This is a proper unfiltered wheat (pour the yeast in) that doesn’t use a neutral American yeast. Mellow, slight clove and banana taste. No detectable hop presence. Not too fizzy. Refreshing.

Not too familiar with American Wheats, but I had heard that they often taste of bananas. Banana in your beer? Yuck.
Well, that’s what you get on the first sip of this one... I love Troegs other products, but, for example, Sierra Nevada naturally fermented hefeweizen to me is like a true weissbeir, and this Troegs product is pretty underwhelming. Still looking for my summer beer...
