4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
One of the best wheat beers I have ever tasted. Smokey oak embers, spicy, very wheaty and vary flavorful. Complex.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite opaque golden yellow, it gleamed in the light like a fine Sauternes dessert wine. Pearly white head, fugacious.
Bready, plenty of esters and bananas with a wheaty, oaty finale.
Light bodied, coriander, cloves and citrusy, a nice refreshing wit, maybe a little too cookie-cutter but nicely done.

A nice beer ... but it isn’t outstanding. I was prepared for better, and I was a little under impressed. A middle of the road wheat, in my opinion.

Had this on tap last night at Cooper’s in Scranton, PA and it was a great start to a great night. Nice clean flavor and very spicy which is how I like my wheat beers. Well done.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at Standard Tap...
Appears a hazy light gold with a small white cap that fizzles into a small bubbly film.
Smell seems like a mix between a hefe & wit. Lots of bubblegum, bananas, and wheat, with a bit of clove, coriander, and pepper.
Taste is of the same mix with a mild doughyness to it and perhaps the ever slightness of sulpher that isn’t too noticable.
Drinkability is good. A nice brew that I hope to see more of in the future.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy dark straw color with a few floaties. Medium head & aroma of citrus, wheat and lemonade. Good wheaty flavors, with notes of citrus, lemon zest and a hint of spice. Body is slightly chewy. I enjoyed it.

Pretty average wheat aroma. White head with some decent lacing. Some citrus in the flavor along with some cloves. Doughy.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 Sampled this one on draft at the State College beer festival. It poured a very cloudy medium golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sweet banana and cloves. The flavor is strong banana, moderate cloves and a hint of citrus. The banana and clove elements linger on the palate.
1/2006 - tried the bottle version. Very boring, scores: 3/2/3/2/8.

From bottle, although this isn’t yet generally available that way. A nice straight ahead hefe. A nice amount of wheat. Estery but not cloying. Very nice looking, cloudy yellow-gold with nice head.A bit spicy. Lots of flavor.
