Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Troegs brothers’ dreamiest Single Batch creation—Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining four wheat types with Munich and Pils malts, noble Saaz hops, and a yeast strain that imparts a spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 Sampled this one on draft at the State College beer festival. It poured a very cloudy medium golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sweet banana and cloves. The flavor is strong banana, moderate cloves and a hint of citrus. The banana and clove elements linger on the palate. 1/2006 - tried the bottle version. Very boring, scores: 3/2/3/2/8.

From bottle, although this isn’t yet generally available that way. A nice straight ahead hefe. A nice amount of wheat. Estery but not cloying. Very nice looking, cloudy yellow-gold with nice head.A bit spicy. Lots of flavor.

0.5l Ramstein glass at Andy’s. Cloudy golden, nice thick white head. Clovey aroma. Malty flavors with clovey spices and slight banana. Great flavors. One of the better wheats that I have had.

On tap. Poured a hazy dark golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of bananas, lemons (I asked this one to be served without a lemon wedge), and cloves. Almost a pepperminty aroma as well. Tastes of wheat, cloves, bananas and light citrus. Very good hefe.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2008 Not as good as when it was originally released, but still decent. Has a hint of a clove banana aroma and flavor, body seemed a tad thin. I could swear troegs had a better version of this at first.

Nice hazy deep gold color with a pretty good head. Aroma is of a traditional hefe- with lots of yeasty aromas- like banana, clove, and hint of vanilla. Smooth mouthfeel with lots of wheat/doughy flavor. Good smooth finish and a lingering aftertaste.

Draft - Max’s. Clear golden, thick off white head. Aroma is full of buttery lemon zest, bready, with a slight spicy clove and banana note in the background. Flavor matches the aroma almost perfectly while remaining well balanced. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth, creamy, semi-dry finish. Very drinkable in my opinion, but I dig wheat beers probably a bit more then most here. And yes, more American then German tasting for sure.
