Poured cloudy golden on tap with a thick white head. Good retention. Aroma had banana, cloves, lemon and hops. Flavor was quite mellow. Mouthfeel was quite creamy. This is a well made German Hefeweizen considering it is from the United States.

Bottle courtesy of willblake: Pours a very pale clouded golden with a frothy, wispy white and well-lacing head. Sweet authentic, bready, banana, citrus and coriander aroma. Body starts with a pleasant mild sweetness, with good citric and yeasty balance and a touch of peppery coriander spice. Incredibly drinkable, yet has a nice smooth flavor. A good hefeweizen.

On tap at Andy’s. Hazy yellow/golden color with a good sized white head. Yeasty aroma of cloves, banana and just a hint of hops. Flavor of cloves, black pepper and banana. Flavor was a bit muted, but very good and way too easy to drink.

Flavor throughout, spice/clove/banana taste, interested in other troeg brews, highly recommend this one for wheat/weizen fans

Hazy yellow. Really seriously deep earthy flavor that lies in the fruit range right down to banana if you breath in deeply enough. Let it waft up to you before you quaff up this brew. Supposedly Saaz hops lurk in this brew, but I don’t notice them. Definitely getting that spicy flavor mentioned in the description. Yeasty too. Clean on the palate. Good stuff. The buzzards of Green Hill grow fat on roadkill (and hefes)

Smells like yeast. Hazy unfiltered yellow in color. It’s fruity, but in the finish, you do get a little bit of spicy cloviness as advertised in the commercial description. Saaz hops are pleasantly subdued.

An interesting though pleasant surprise. The label does not tell what the commercial description here states. The yeast strain is very prevalent. Rather leads one to thinking about a lighter Belgian initially than a hefe. Spare head & lacing, slight hazy & thin body with a pale amber color. A nice aroma of wheat & fruity tracing. A clean, dry & fast finish.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2008 pours a shimmering yellow with a completely opaque body. aroma is bread, cloves, with some pepper and a hint of banana. clove really stands out on this one on the pack of the tongue, along with some white pepper. really drinkable, somewhat medium bodied. one of my favority weisse beers.

01.12.06 12oz bottle from sampler 12-pk. Pale yellow color, completely clouded with a creamy haze below a medium sized, fading, even head of tight white froth. Esthery aroma mixed with some rotting fruits and muted hay. Also something a bit unusual in the aroma - vegetal, earthy, mouldy forest floor - and I’m not really getting it. Add in some very yeasty bread dough, raw. The flavor brightens up with the addition of some nice citric acidity and the emergence of a mild spice (clove). But still there’s that nagging rot. The body is light to medium and slightly coating, not dry. Perhaps a more straightforward approach would have made for a more accessible brew.
