COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Troegs brothers’ dreamiest Single Batch creation—Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining four wheat types with Munich and Pils malts, noble Saaz hops, and a yeast strain that imparts a spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy.

Very cloudy upon pouring, very citrusy odor. Smooth taste, but nothing really outstanding about it.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, bready malt and banana. Medium mouthfeel with grain, banana, earthy malt. Good

Cloudy citrine color, little lace Light body but enough zing in the mouthfeel to prevent it from tasting weak. Flavorful, spritzy, complex, long, balanced. Moderately bitter, dry, low acidity. Soapy yeast flavor, cloves, floral. One of the best wheat ales I remember drinking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells buttery and slightly fruity. Tastes again, buttery with a spicy finish, slightly tastes of citrus. Nice, crisp carbonation. Very nice, lighter, crisp beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this more than enough times, figured I better say something. I’ve had this in weizen glasses most of the time, but often had it straight form the bottle. Here goes. The appearance was a nice hazy yellow to orange color, definitely looks filtered to me. In the weizen glass, it definitely had a nice two finger soft white foamy head that dissipates a fairly moderate pace. The smell was slightly peppery yet clove-like banana-esque refreshing-ness. I would say spectacular in Summer. The taste was peppery spicy with a super nice allocated banana-ness coming back to balance it all out. The aftertaste was slightly banana/spiciness leading to a nice refreshing (could be construed as watery) aftertaste. I’d say it was a dry finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium and shows a pretty good sessionable quality running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation hits, but isn’t overly done. Overall, if there’s ever any hefeweizen I’d ever like to replicate in my homebrewing, it would be this. Though I’ve never reviewed this on Beer Advocate, this is an exceptionally well done hefeweizen well worthy of having again. I could only wish to ever get this again.

Aroma of banana, clove and spice. Poured a cloudy amber from bottle. Lots of banana in the mouth, tangy soda finish.

Bottle to shaker. Pours cloudy gold. Two finger head, quick head, not much lacing. Aroma of clove, banana. Tastes lightly sweet, earthy, floral bitterness, slightly sour from the yeast. Body is light, creamy, light carbonation. Finishes rather dry with fruity notes, banana and clove. My least favorite beer style but a solid beer none the less.

Transfer from BA reviewed on 2-19-12 - Served in a pint glass Appearance – Served a hazy yellow/golden color with a nice white head. The head faded leaving only a very little lacing, but leaving a thin film on the surface of the brew which persisted throughout the drinking experience. Smell – The smell was quite interesting. There was some yeast and banana aromas mixed in with a nice wheaty backbone. The peppery aroma however when mixed with a bit of the banana and some of the other spices gave it a kind of bacon aroma as well. Taste – A peppery wheat flavor is the first to meet the tongue. There is a little bit of sweeter, lighter fruit that then comes into play; banana and some citrus. These lighter fruits are mixed with other spices such as cloves. The taste is then rounded out with a bit of hoppiness mixing its way in with the sweetness. Mouthfeel – A medium bodied brew with a mid to higher level of carbonation. Very appropriate for the style, but nothing really to out of the ordinary. It is easy to drink and very non-offensive. Overall – This is an easy drinking wheat beer. Good for the style, but nothing to really hold in the greatest of esteem.
