COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Troegs brothers’ dreamiest Single Batch creation—Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining four wheat types with Munich and Pils malts, noble Saaz hops, and a yeast strain that imparts a spicy, peppery, clove taste with a slight hint of bananas, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy.

Bottle from sampler pack. Appearance, aroma, and flavor are pretty much what you would expect from a typical hefe. Good beer, just nothing than stands out.

(Rating #4701)

Rated 3/29/13. Two 12 oz bottles poured into a weizen glass. A: Pours a hazy golden color. The head is a two finger white shade; a bit thinner looking than what I like out of my hefeweizens, but with nice retention. Not much lacing here. S: This is heavy in banana esters. Huge whiffs of bubblegum and sweet vanilla hit my nose, as well as some general ’wheat’ malts. I’m fairly impressed by the aroma here. T: Initially, it starts off with fruity, with loads of banana and faint orange. Afterwards come notes of vanilla, wheat, and clove...it’s quite vanilla forward, actually. A bit of hop bitterness builds up as more is consumed, suggesting decent layering/depth. M: Soft and creamy at first, before developing into a dry, astringent feel. This also seems to bring out some hop flavors on the back end, as well. Carbonation is strong if not oppressive, and the drinkability is excellent thanks to the moderately light texture. O: A great hefeweizen is worth its weight in ambergris, and this is certainly a great example of the style. This seems to have more complexity than others in the style, also - including the 1000 pound (and 1000 year old) gorilla-in-the-room from Weihenstephaner.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep golden with long lasting white head, a lot of lacing and carbonation. Aroma is of wheat malt, banana and yeast. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Finish is medium, somewhat sour. Good thirst quencher.

Not terrible over all, not really what I'm looking for in a wheat beer. Smells nice, color is a little clear for my liking. Ok flavor hints of clove and spice. Too much hops for the style. Overall not bad and def worth a try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drought. Tasted on 20 March 2013. Hazy yellow appearance, off-white creamy head with good retention, doughy aroma, low carbonation, orange peel aroma, abrupt finish. Smooth but not remarkable hefeweizen.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Similar to the pale ale in the sense it's prototypical without much else going on. Again, likely very sessionable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Pours hazy golden color with a small white head and some lacing. Aromas of bananas, wheat malt, and cloves. Taste is banana, clove, malt and a crisp slightly bitter finish.
