Commercial Description:
Troegs HopBack Amber gets its unique name and taste from the HopBack Vessel in our brewhouse. Packed full of whole flower hops, each batch circulates through the vessel, creating a fresh hoppy aroma, spicy taste and rich caramel note that defines this signature amber ale.

Poured amber with white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Good balance of citrus and caramel flavor. Solid session. Tasty.

From bottle. Deep amber colour with a decent frothy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma with berries and raspberry maybe. Smooth texture. Slight tangy finish. Rich flavour of honey, berries, malt and hops. Nice.

Has a nice and easy brown color. Smells of sweet old hops. Has a nice hoppy flavor. Nice aftertaste in the end. This is a smooth hop beer. It’s almost so smooth that it makes me think this is a light hop beer. Good job though.

Bottle. Big head laces immediately. Particularly fruity nose, orange and maybe cherries, well supported by hops. Flavor though is somewhat muted at first, perhaps because it is fresh from the fridge, but it is increasing as I drink. Kind of creamy actually - not the texture I was expecting, but nice. Enjoyable. Thought it would be hoppier.

From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with a bottled date of 012209 and a number of 090107. This pours a nice looking amber-orange with lively carbonation that rises to a two finger, foamy beige head. The aroma is hoppy all the way, almost like an IPA. Perhaps some background fruity element. Medium mouthfeel with good texture. The flavor is hoppy and sweet all at once and rather unique. A bitter finish. Yum-Oh.

Pours an amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, very fruity, hops. Taste is slight caramel malt, orange peel, and nice mild hop flavor. Very easy drinking brew that goes down nicely. Nothing great about it, but very pleasant.

Pours an orangish amber, light head. Nice floral aroma. Excellent hop flavor and nice bitterness. Clean finish that leaves you wanting another one. At 6.0 they sneak up on you. This beer is a must for hopheads.
