4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Smells hoppy, looks like an light amber hue. Picture perfect appearance. First sip, grapefruit flavor, nice gravity, mouthful feeling. This is an excellent beer. Will definitely be in aquisition mode when it comes to sampling the rest of this breweries product line. Excellent Amber.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Piney hop nose balances with caramel sweetness in the aroma. Golden amber with shy light tan head that reduces to a thick cover with some lace. Sweet caramel malt hangs in perfect balance with tangy pine hops. Medium body and very drinkable. Bottle (sampled at Mondial 2004).

4.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Well-hopped, aggressive attack of malts and carbonation on palate. Fine cooper amber colour. Light, good as IPA! Some pine aroma. Mid-sip sour grapefruit citrus, spices and nuttyness. Refreshing on hot day. Unique and very drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2008 [bottle] Pours a deep, clear orange with good carbonation and a lasting white head that left good lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is mainly floral and hoppy with a tart sweetness underneath. Maybe raisins? Taste began with a sweet hoppy bite that gave way to a nice peppery hop finish. A bit spicy on the tongue at first, but the head mixes well and gives the whole thing a soapy and smooth feel. Thanks to Warrior for this one.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Caramel color with a pretty cream head. Smells mostly of hops and a little bit of something sweet. Taste is hoppy with very nice spicing. Kinda simple, but enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask version at Fat Head’s in Pittsburgh. Pours a dark amber color with a thin off-white head. Thin and foamy lacing. The aroma is outstanding: Citrus hops, malt, caramel and fruit. Very smooth body, with a strong floral hops flavor, followed by malt and spice. The finish is slick and earthy hops and malt. This beer is definitely enjoyable on the cask, I’d like to try the bottled version too.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear copper color with hardly and head at all. Hoppy aroma. Citrusy, with some spicyness to it.I would think this would be an American Pale Ale, but anyway. Smooth. Hoppy flavor. Nothing complex about it. But it’s a pretty decent beer nonetheless. Bought this 12 oz bottle at Total Wine in Manassas, VA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber color, decent, off-white head: all is in order...
But the olfactory senses are most pleased by what pours out of this bottle...hops stand up, bright and tall, citric, spicy, warm, but refreshing, a beautiful hop bouquet, a pleasure to enter the nose.
Great, big, buzzing hops are the first order, but they fade fast, and mellow out.
Body is light, finish is fast, but each subsequent sip returns the hoppy, fruity sensation anew.
A great candidate for a session brew, easily consumed, but a reminder is always around the corner of how good a beer can taste. Well done, Troegs

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very nice looking maple syrup amber color with a golden luster, vibrant carbonation and a creamy head. There is a great hop aroma to this amber ale to go along with a faint malt sweetness. The feel is very smooth and creamy. There is a nice full carmel malt taste and a very nicely balanced hop flavor. Thanks to DocLock for this one.
