MrChopin (621), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours brown-amber color with small near-white head. Clean hop aroma dominated by flowers. Taste is sweet with caramel but lasting bitterness. Very drinkable if simple. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Jun 25, 2008 Pours a beautiful clear amber colour with a frothy beige head that leaves a thick coating of lacing as it fades. The aroma is rich with rich, earthy caramel, peppery spice, citric hops and hints of resin. The flavour is rich and chewy with a massive caramel malt backbone that balances out a very fresh tasting citric hop profile. The palate is full, moderately carbonated and a bit syrupy, with a long, sweet finish. Elmowl (12), Annandale, New Jersey, USA Jun 21, 2008 Deep amber color with decent head. moderate citris hoppy aroma. Resinous hops dominates a malty background. This is a gender confused beer that can’t decide if it wants to be a red ale or a pale ale. Almost like a watered down double pale ale. joeymacaroni (181), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 21, 2008 pours deep amber. thin, dense tan head lingers for a while. lacing is thick at each level the beer sits at. kinda fun looking. aroma is heavy grapefruit, floral notes. caramel maltiness too. taste is rich-an onslaught of caramel maltiness followed by the floral citrus of the hops. nutty, spicy finish.
