Commercial Description:
Troegs HopBack Amber gets its unique name and taste from the HopBack Vessel in our brewhouse. Packed full of whole flower hops, each batch circulates through the vessel, creating a fresh hoppy aroma, spicy taste and rich caramel note that defines this signature amber ale.

From bottle... poured beautiful dark amber with medium creamy white head. Nice pine and citrus aroma. Sweet and spicy flavor. Loved it!

Dark amber appearing brown, somewhat clear with clingy covering of tan head. Smells of resiny pine and citrus hops jump out with some roasted barley and toasty caramel. Sweet and citrusy with toasty caramalts. Pretty well balanced with the pine and citrus hop bitterness throughout, but never coming off astringent. Amber for hop-heads. Somewhat smooth feel, moderate-medium body for amber, but still feels a little thin. Very drinkable amber.

Nice beer. Pours dark copper off-white head. Nice hop taste with good balance. Right amount of carbonation which makes it a very drinkable beer.

medium bitterness, light body, fizzy, bitter, A little too bitter in my opinion. Not too heavy though. I prefer the aroma to the flavor. Not a beer I’d drink solo at the end of the day, but certainly it would be good paired with a meal.

Bottle courtesy of abcfan, pours dark amber with half finger white head. Aroma is not strong but some sweet malt and light hops. Taste is similar to aroma with clean finish. Really good beer.

On tap, this poured a good dark amber color, with a good whiteish head. Great hop smell, with a great hop taste, not to overpowering. Had a good malt bite also present. The head was perfect all the way down the glass. I would buy It again.
