BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 3, 2008 Dark amber appearing brown, somewhat clear with clingy covering of tan head.
Smells of resiny pine and citrus hops jump out with some roasted barley and toasty caramel.
Sweet and citrusy with toasty caramalts. Pretty well balanced with the pine and citrus hop bitterness throughout, but never coming off astringent. Amber for hop-heads.
Somewhat smooth feel, moderate-medium body for amber, but still feels a little thin. Very drinkable amber. soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA Jun 3, 2008 Nice beer. Pours dark copper off-white head. Nice hop taste with good balance. Right amount of carbonation which makes it a very drinkable beer. ReademNwheat (174), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 1, 2008 From a bottle, pours a amber color. Great hop taste. Nothing seems out of place in this beer, well balanced. great sessional beer. MeaggieLin (4), USA does not count Jun 1, 2008 medium bitterness, light body, fizzy, bitter,
A little too bitter in my opinion. Not too heavy though. I prefer the aroma to the flavor. Not a beer I’d drink solo at the end of the day, but certainly it would be good paired with a meal. kpresley77 (133), Jackson, Georgia, USA May 31, 2008 Bottle courtesy of abcfan, pours dark amber with half finger white head. Aroma is not strong but some sweet malt and light hops. Taste is similar to aroma with clean finish. Really good beer. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA May 21, 2008 Out of a sixter. Really quality stuff. Dark amber color with a large head. Great aroma of pine and citrus. Just a wonderful hop flavor with a very good balance. darrylgh (10), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA May 18, 2008 On tap, this poured a good dark amber color, with a good whiteish head. Great hop smell, with a great hop taste, not to overpowering. Had a good malt bite also present. The head was perfect all the way down the glass. I would buy It again. hophappy (1), lititz, Pennsylvania, USA does not count May 14, 2008 Best session beer i ever had!Beautiful hop aroma with slight grapefruit maybe a very slight spice and good solid caramel malt backbone.Flavor perfectly matching the aroma. Not to bitter but yet very hoppy.Good complexity but very drinkable.
