Nose is like vibrant cherries, but not extremely pungent really. Flavor is nice and woody in a milder way. Hops are present in a leafy and slightly almost smoked way. Medium level sweet edge to it. Very smooth and consistent flavor. Feel has a fairly full level of carbonation sending tiny bubbles over my tongue. Liquid has a good body. Overall very drinkable. Extremely smooth and even, though the sweet kick on the tail end seems slightly out of place jakentbc (15), New York, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2007 12 Oz Bottle. Beautiful floral hop nose, backed with strawberry caramels and tinted brandies. Hop character is so fresh and supple, glowing with resins, fresh cones, and lightly steeped pines. Pours a clear orange-amber, with a wonderfully lacing white head. Flavor a rich, yet classic, blend of hops and malt sugar. Wow, this is delicately balanced, yet nuanced with traditional west coast hop flavor and in nicely dried body. Fresh feeling. Spritzy and melded with citrus. Gentle, yet flavorful. Nice malt backing to the rich, deep hop character. Long lasting grasses and drying herb smack. Excellent. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2007 This beer actually has a very intriguing color. It’s perfectly clear, although there are a few tiny, translucent floaties, that could be very small hop petal particles. The color is too ruby to be copper and too copper to be ruby, but it’s gorgeous. The head is creamy and reasonably sized. The aroma is nicely hoppy, definitely centennial or something similar. A few mores sniffs pulls up the caramelly malt. The flavor is a bit of a letdown comparatively, light but sweet, low-moderate bitterness. Not too bad to celebrate the start of college football with, but I’ll save my toast to MJ with my next beer and choose something a little more interesting.
