Aroma is victory malt all the way and floral hops. Flavor is Caramel, biscuit and floral hops. Real malty, I’m loving the crisp biscuit malts and combining with the floral hop aroma and flavor is really good. Damn this just taste good. Thanks Brian. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Bottle at RFD Washington. Clear as glass amber-orange. Aroma of an old fruit cocktail with a lemon edge, quite similar to a lemonade that’s mostly sugar. Tastes like the smell of a citrus-scented urinal cake. Clean, polished, and fruity - but with a strained quality that suggests undrinkability. Vanilla and toffee tinted malts scamper in belatedly on the back end to salvage things a little. Simply too much obvious superficiality, which sort of whispers loudly with every sip. Palate is mild and hints toward slight under-attentuation. Quite residual on that sugary smack. Not difficult, though. nipsy3 (11), Monessen, Pennsylvania, USA

If you really like hops but aren’t obsessed with them, then I think this is a good beer. It’s not overdone, but it is as hoppy as it should be. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 8, 2007 Very clear, dark golden straw colored with a thick, fizzy head. Peaches and pineapples waft over grass and sweet caramel. Taste like a fruity hops sandwich -- not bitter, but round and malty. Slightly thin body with a nice smooth finish. sneagrams3 (1738), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 10, 2007 The Dan Journal #65. Tasted 1/9/2007. 12oz bottle. Somewhat hazy with a deep amber hue. Musty hoppy aroma. Soapy. Full bodied with a zesty effervescence. Nice malt character. Caramel malt profile. Zesty citrus hops. Good grapefruit hops. Well done! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Bottle from hopdog. Thanks Steve. An amber ale here that is actually amber in color. Thin white head. Nose very hoppy for the style which I dont mind. Flavor tastes more like a bitter, hoppy ipa. Not much malt balance which is surprising, but still a nice easy drinking beer. Troegs makes some very solid products. mansquito (821), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Thick, firm, beige metallic-tasting head. Dark amber body. Fruity smell that is saying drink me. Taste of hops and easy drinkin’. Beer, like other Troegs, is kind of salty. Really easy to sit around and drink this fine example of an amber ale though.
