Commercial Description:
Troegs HopBack Amber gets its unique name and taste from the HopBack Vessel in our brewhouse. Packed full of whole flower hops, each batch circulates through the vessel, creating a fresh hoppy aroma, spicy taste and rich caramel note that defines this signature amber ale.

12 oz bottle-Pours a dark amber coloring. Hoppy aroma, heavy malt flavoring a little too heavy for my liking on regular drinking. Medium bodied average carbonation.

This is a real winner for an amber ale. its got an extra kick of malt to help the dominate hop aroma and taste. This is how Amber Ale should be made

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear medium amber color with a small amount of off-white bubbles around the edges. Rich malts, nice yeast, subtle earthy hops and spices. Light bodied, crisp and well carbonated. Watery ending of malts and hops.

Bottle: Pours a clear orange with a thin white head, bread and pine in the aroma, medium bodied with solid carbonation, starts and ends way too bitter to be an amber ale. This is an IPA people, maybe with some English notes, but mainly USA IPA throughout..

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep orangey amber with a large foamy off white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of hops while the taste is malty with only a slight hops finish. Very nice beer.
