| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 20, 2006 Updated: Oct 15, 2006Great start with a nice hop-filled aroma, but the taste let me down somewhat. Good for an amber, but pretty bland you’re hoping for a mega-hop brew. Tip: dump this one straight to the back of your mouth to maximize hop-taste. Re-rate 9/9/06: I may have been a bit harsh before, as the taste seems better than I remembered. Re-rate: This really is alot better than I initially rated it. I poured it and left it for over 30 minutes and the taste was much better. I can now say that this is reallly good. kmweaver (2436), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2006 Olney Beer & Fine Wine tasting. Clear, reds, golden; light foam. Big sweet, hoppy nose; very enticing. Light hops on the front of the tongue, with bitterness and malts dominant at the sides; roast malt backbone makes itself known. Light finish. Terribly drinkable, and a nice alternative to those long summer months without Nugget Nectar. blankboy (3196), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
