SpringsLicker (2041), Tennessee, USA Aug 5, 2006 Clear deep amber pour witha tall off-white head that falls quickly.
Malty aroma with some piney peppery hops that come at the end.
Malty with a touch of bitterness. Smooth and easy drinking. A decently brewed beer in an often boring style. Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 4, 2006 reddish copper, thin beige head. Sweet bread and black pepper aroma. crisp bitterness up front, mostly citrus hops in the finish. Noticably bready, malty sweetness throughout, and a slightly sticky after taste. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Aug 1, 2006 Bottled(355ml). -amber coloured, almost no head, nice hoppy aroma with flowery notes and nice spicy hints. Some blueberries or something else in it. Bitter finish. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2006 Updated: Oct 15, 2006Great start with a nice hop-filled aroma, but the taste let me down somewhat. Good for an amber, but pretty bland you’re hoping for a mega-hop brew. Tip: dump this one straight to the back of your mouth to maximize hop-taste. Re-rate 9/9/06: I may have been a bit harsh before, as the taste seems better than I remembered. Re-rate: This really is alot better than I initially rated it. I poured it and left it for over 30 minutes and the taste was much better. I can now say that this is reallly good. kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Jul 19, 2006 Olney Beer & Fine Wine tasting. Clear, reds, golden; light foam. Big sweet, hoppy nose; very enticing. Light hops on the front of the tongue, with bitterness and malts dominant at the sides; roast malt backbone makes itself known. Light finish. Terribly drinkable, and a nice alternative to those long summer months without Nugget Nectar. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 11, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Thaichile. Pours a clear amber with a large off-white head. Nice aroma of citrus & funky hops and sweet malt -- smells great! Slightly sweet hoppy flavour with a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Wow, this is pretty good stuff, especially for an Amber Ale. TheEpeeist (1429), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear tea colored with a smooth off-white head. Aroma of fresh-baked hop chip cookies. Orange marmalade and spruce. Finishes with popcorn dryness. Body a little light and mushy. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jul 1, 2006 via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a clear deep amber color with a nice off white head. Light lacing and good carbonation. Lots of floral and citrus hop aroma. Flavor has that caramel sweetness to it. Smooth but leaves a slight malt aftertaste. Medium body. A good beer. Thanks Jason.
