Light lacing and good carbonation. Lots of floral and citrus hop aroma. Flavor has that caramel sweetness to it. Smooth but leaves a slight malt aftertaste. Medium body. A good beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear amber with cream colored head. Aroma is citrus and floral much like an IPA. Flavor is malty smooth with a slight hops kick; floral and lemon. I don’t think I’d call this an amber ale. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Surprisingly, this is a great beer! Hoppy, sweet, and refreshing. Sweet and malty on the taste as well as slightly hoppy (a nice touch for an amber). This would def be a session beer for me if I could buy it locally. Really, really good. Probably the best amber I’ve had in recent years. HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA

Good balance of hops and some malt to back it up, but not too much. Has a bitterness of an IPA, but goes down smooth. Have this one when you’re tossing ’em back all day while flipping burgers on the grill. BückDich (4823), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2006 Bottle: Pellucid amber, sticky thin head, moderate lacing. Nose is sweet and crispy with earthy notes, creamy molasses and light caramel. The flavor is moderately bitter and not very balanced. The finish is soapy with some malty hop notes. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Bottle (12oz). My friend Alan brought me two of these from Pennsylvania. Pours brigtht clear bubbly copper with a foamy-fizzy off-white lasting head. Sweet light citrus hop aroma backed with lots of sweet toasty malt and hints of yeast and an overriding perfumy floral bouquet. Taste is a touch harsh, orange zest and almost boozy for a 5.6% - not bad, but it seems a letdown after that aroma. Mouthfeel is fizzy, astringent with a too-long bitter finish. More like an APA than an amber - one of the most enjoyable ambers I’ve had.
