bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Apr 19, 2006 Hmmm.... at first, I thought this reminded me more of a "thicker" APA. It pours deep amber into the glass with a very small head. Aromas of Cascade hops, pine needles and caramel abound. The Cascade-esque notes permeate into the flavor, providing a good amount of bitterness around a lighter spiced caramel malt. Medium-full mouthfeel indicates that this could be a decent session brew, especially for the fall season. SB (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 19, 2006 From Bottle. Bottled on 1-30-2006.
Nice deep copper pour. Fast dissipating white bubbly head with some still present around the edges all the way through. Wonderful aroma. Hints of grass, pine, caramel, and malt. First sip brought out a huge hop bite, grassy and piney with a sweet caramel/sugar aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Crisp, Dry finish. Nice brew for a spring night allfreej (358), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Apr 16, 2006 Bottled. Amber pour with a white head. Malty nose with a well balanced hoppy finish. An excellent brew! schoolofspool (24), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 7, 2006 [Bottled] Poured a clear true amber with a tiny white head. Spruce and caramel in the aroma. Lightly sweet malts with some caramel, and a resinous light-moderate bitter bite. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a crisp bitter finish. It packs a lot of flavor into a well balanced brew that is extremely easy to drink. It’s no wonder why Nugget Nectar is so delicious considering it’s based off this stuff. I could see Tröegs putting the big hurt on my wallet this summer. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Mar 30, 2006 Bottle. Amber colour with a weak head. Very hoppy aroma but someway light and smooth.
