This is my fallback beer. Love it. The drinkability and the palate are what makes it.

12 oz bottle. Not sure on the freshness of this one, but there was way less hop bite than I expected. A bit of caramel came through, and although taste was pleasant, it wasn’t very strong. Not bad, but as others have said, kind of neutral.

My score does seem a little, but overall I was left unimpressed by this beer. I'm not one for overly hoppy beer and it seems as if they were trying to do too much with this brew

Pours clear dark red. Mouthfeel is light.. Smells hops and spices. Tastes good hoppy beer. Little yeast. Hint of spices with a caramel finish. Good hoppy beer!

Troeg’s HopBack Amber Ale is a good hoppy, yet balanced, amber ale with a white head.

Troegs doesn’t disappoint with lovers of light hoppy beers with this one. Nice light start with a very hoppy aftertaste. Light color and texture give away later to a good strong aftertaste that leaves you craving more.

From 12 oz bottle. Taste of malt and hops. Taste of caramel. The bottle indicates that there is spice in here, if so it was not very prevalent. A pretty good beer, but in my opinion it is a bit overrated.

Hop aroma was stronger than the hop taste. * Had this at a beer club meeting with many other beers, hence I don't remember all my comments - only the ratings which I wrote down at the time.

Good hop aroma with a subtle background of malt. Hop and malt are pretty well balanced. The texture is good with some butter cut by hop acidity. The taste is balanced, just a little bit heavy on the hop bitters.
