3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Nice amber color that pours with a medium head. More hops in the aroma then in the palate, do I sense a bit of floral sweetness? If you like a hoppy amber this is for you. Not a favorite but an ale that I would look for when available.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hopback is a fitting name for this beer - the aroma is unmistakeably of hops, and there is only a slight amount of bitterness. There is also a taste of citrus and flowers. This is a surprisingly good brew, very hoppy.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
An easy drinking amber ale with good malt and a slightly stronger hop note than usual. One of my favorite session beers.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’ll spare everyone with the details this time. This is essentially a pleasant slightly malty amber ale with a fairly long nutty finish and a hint of hops.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Whew, what a scent! First thing that hits you, very aromatic. The process (hop back vessel) gives exactly what they wanted. Good initail head that fades slowly to a lace on the glass. Flavor is like it smells, but not as strong. Very flavorful, but not something I could drink more than one at a time. Not exactly my thing but I can imagine a good following for this flavor.

12 oz. Bottle. Pours a crystal clear copper with a frothy off-white head that leaves decent lacing on the glass. Great floral, hoppy aroma with a subtle caramel malt background. Up front the flavor is a floral with a faint citrusy hop taste, balanced nicely by a sweet caramel malty character. Smooth, balanced finish. Medium bodied. Excellent Amber Ale.
