COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by nature’s untamed beauty, LaGrave (pronounced \l?-gräv\) is the first of our 12.7-oz. corked and caged bottle releases. Bottle conditioned and highly carbonated, this Triple Golden Ale is steeped in the tradition of strong ales originally brewed in Belgium. The unique Belgian yeast forms the bedrock of LaGrave’s complex flavors. Strong and alluring at 8% ABV, LaGrave boasts a sweet, fruity flavor with a well-rounded mouthfeel and semi-dry, lingering bitter finish.

2014/08/15 - Pours a hazy golden/straw colour with a large, soapy, white head that dissipates slowly without lacing. Aroma is biscuit & caramel malt, yeast, cloves, mild alcohol, and esters of banana, bubblegum and apple. Taste is sweet caramel, yeast, apple, stonefruit, clove and sweet alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium to full, slightly sticky with lively carbonation and a warming, boozy finish. Pretty good, would have been better if it were a little less sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375 ml bottle purchased at Georgio’s in Billarica, MA, hazy gold with very little head. Aroma is fruity yeast, sugar and traces of ripe banana.

The body is on the lighter side of medium with a dry. The flavor is wet newspaper, old malt, wheat and has a mild sour note. The flavor has fallen off or was never very good in the 1st place. The paper and old malt is not pleasant. Very disappointing for this brewery.

Bottle shared by a friend. Hazy gold pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, Belgian yeast esters and some tartness. Malty flavor giving way to a grape character that I tend to get out of certain trappist ales with some booze and caramel before a fruity finish.

The carbonation was good. It isn’t worth running around trying to find but it was fun to try,. If you have one nearby pick it up for a taste. Bottle...even at brewery. No tap available.
