COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with native Pennsylvania neck pumpkins harvested just a few miles from our brewery at Strites’ Orchard, Master of Pumpkins conjures the spirit of autumn by combining roasted pumpkins and traditional pie spices with a French saison yeast. This natural fermentation releases a palate of vanilla, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, and honey. In addition to 750mL bottles, Master of Pumpkins is also currently available on draft and for take-out growler fills in the Tasting Room. Taste it you will see. More is all you need! 2014 note: now sold in four packs of 12.7 oz bottles. (375 ml)

Don’t understand all the hype. Orange with thin head, sweet Belgian sugars and pumpkin pie spice. Like a lot of the other pumpkin beers.

From the corked, caged 375 ml. bottle. 2014 batch. Attractive looking ruby red to brown pour with a modest head that fades. The aroma speaks of cinnamon more than any other pumpkin spice. Yes, the pumpkins and nutmeg come up eventually but that cinnamon is strong. The body is medium but not a bold kind of medium. The taste has a touch of malts but it is the cinnamon that really takes things over and burns on the palate. I wanted to call it bitter but I think it is more of a cinnamon burn. I enjoyed it though.

12.7 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours cloudy, dark orange, a bit of white head but no real lacing on the glass. Aroma of malts, pumpkin and spices. Taste is malty, sweet, lots of pumpkin, lot of nutmeg and some other spices. Pretty tasty, very drinkable, overall a very good beer.

Sample. Cooper color with off white. Tart flavor with spice, almost like a saison pumpkin beer hybrid.

Drake (9999) - Free Union, Virginia, USA - NOV 25, 2014
375 mL bottle from Beer Run, opened Halloween 2014. Pours a hazy copper with a medium foamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of strong spice, nutmeg and clove, cinnamon, squash and pumpkin, vanilla. The taste is pumpkin, spice, caramel, vanilla, toasted malts. Medium bodied, low carbonation, strong lingering spice. Solid.

TomDecapolis (4604) - Milton, Delaware, USA - NOV 25, 2014
Pours a mostly translucent golden orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Not much saison yeast notes in the nose. Flavor of vanilla, nutmeg, clove and ginger. A bit too heavy on the spicing and the saison character is barely noticeable.
